Privacy Policy.
Last updated: 2026-05-03
This policy explains what Unusual Software ("we", "us") collects, why, and what we do with it. It applies to My ADHD Dump and any other apps or websites we operate.
The short version: we collect the minimum we need to run the app, we don't sell your data, and you can delete everything any time.
1. What we collect
Account info
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier from those providers. We don't get your password. If you sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email", we only see the relay address.
Voice recordings and transcripts
When you tap SPEAK, your audio is sent to our servers, transcribed into text, and analyzed to extract people, places, tasks, events, and themes. We store the transcript and the structured output. Raw audio is deleted after transcription completes — typically within seconds — unless you've opted into keeping recordings for your own playback.
App data you create
The dumps, mind map nodes, calendar events, tasks, and any edits you make. This is your data. It exists so the app can show it back to you.
Device and usage data
- Push notification tokens (so we can send reminders you've asked for).
- App version, OS version, and device model — used for crash reports and bug triage.
- Counts of dumps and other usage metrics, tied to your account, used for rate limits and subscription tier checks.
What we do not collect
- We do not run third-party analytics or behavioral tracking SDKs.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, calendar, or microphone except when you actively use the relevant feature.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Period.
2. Why we collect it
- To run the app. Sign-in, syncing your dumps across devices, sending the reminders you set up.
- To process voice into structure. The whole point of the app: turning what you said into something you can act on.
- To keep the service stable. Crash logs and basic usage counts help us find bugs and abuse.
- To enforce limits and billing. Free vs. paid tiers, usage caps, subscription state.
3. Who processes your data
We use a small set of vendors to actually run the service. Each only sees what they need to do their job.
- Supabase — database, authentication, file storage. Hosts your account record and your dumps.
- OpenAI — speech-to-text transcription and language model structuring of your dumps. Per OpenAI's API terms, your inputs are not used to train their models.
- Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications you've opted into.
- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple — authentication.
- Cloud hosting — for the API server that ties it all together.
We do not share your data with anyone else, except when legally required (a valid court order, for example) or to protect the safety of users.
4. How long we keep it
- Dumps, transcripts, and your mind map: kept until you delete them or close your account.
- Raw audio: deleted after transcription, normally within seconds.
- Crash logs: 90 days.
- Backups: rolling 30 days, then overwritten.
5. Your rights
You can:
- See your data — most of it is visible inside the app. Contact us to request a full export.
- Delete individual items — long-press any node, dump, task, or event.
- Delete your account — Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your dumps, transcripts, mind map, and account record. We can't recover it after that.
- Request a correction or copy — contact us.
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have specific rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and the CCPA — including the right to access, correct, port, and delete your data, and to object to processing. Contact us and we'll honor it.
6. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to a small number of engineers. No system is perfect — if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you and any required regulators promptly.
8. International transfers
Our servers and our vendors operate in the United States and the European Union. By using the app, you understand your data may be processed in those regions. We use standard contractual clauses where required.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and — for material changes — notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
10. Contact
Privacy questions, data requests, or anything else: contact us.
